Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address students individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a holistic approach to students well-being.
- Assist with the development and execution of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments to identify barriers to students' academic and personal success.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies to ensure access to necessary resources.
- Deliver crisis intervention services as needed.
- Promote a positive school climate by fostering inclusive practices and addressing equity concerns.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (required).
- Valid School Social Worker license/certification in the state of Michigan.
- Ability to pass a state and federal background check.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in a school setting or with children/adolescents is preferred.
