Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Michigan state license as a Physical Therapist.
- Current registration with the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a school setting.
- Proficiency in assessing and treating students with physical disabilities and movement disorders.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to special education and student services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' motor skills, strength, flexibility, and mobility.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' physical therapy needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans.
- Provide direct therapy services and support to students in both individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
