Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for an elementary school position in Plainville, CT. This role is focused on managing a self-contained program for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to students with emotional and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching License.
- Certification in Special Education with the appropriate endorsement for emotional and behavioral disorders.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders is required.
