Overview:
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position. This full-time contract role offers a unique opportunity to work with students who need speech and language support, helping them to achieve their communication goals and succeed in their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress.
- Document and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Offer guidance and support to school staff regarding communication strategies for students.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
