Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced and compassionate Bi-Lingual School Social Worker for a full-time role within school districts in the Green Bay, WI area. Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license as a School Social Worker.
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in English and another language (Spanish preferred).
- Strong understanding of school systems and experience working with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of Wisconsin laws and regulations related to student welfare and special education.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and community resources.
Responsibilities
Key duties for the School Social Worker include:
- Assessing and addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Facilitating communication between students, families, and school staff to support academic success.
- Providing individual and group counseling to students as needed.
- Assisting with crisis intervention and developing strategies to address immediate concerns.
- Collaborating with educators and administrators to create inclusive learning environments.
- Connecting families with community resources for additional support.
- Supporting IEPs and 504 plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
