Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations to assess students learning, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' educational and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to creating supportive learning environments.
- Advocate for students and provide guidance to families on resources and support systems.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (required).
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement (required).
- Experience in educational settings working with diverse student populations (preferred).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with special education laws, 504 Plans, and IEP processes.
