Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students' needs and eligibility for services.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to support student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and assist in creating measurable goals.
- Stay informed about state and federal regulations related to school psychology and special education.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Compliance with state and district certification requirements.
- Requirements:
- Familiarity with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state special education regulations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.
- Prior experience in school settings is preferred.
