Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on speech-language development.
- Stay informed of best practices, current research, and state regulations in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Requirements:
- Strong understanding of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references.
