Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges affecting student performance.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students academic and personal growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance, behavior, and overall student success.
- Serve as a liaison between families and school resources to ensure access to mental health and community support services.
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program (required).
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement (required).
- Ability to pass all state and district-mandated background checks.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative and compassionate approach to working with students, families, and school staff.
