Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Illinois SLP license (required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA (preferred).
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and implementing therapy services for diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students speech and language development needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Consult with teachers and staff to provide strategies for supporting students in the classroom.
- Maintain compliance with state and district policies regarding student care and documentation.
