School Social Worker Full-Time in Mt. Prospect, IL
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in groups to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address students' challenges and promote academic success.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
- Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
- Document and maintain records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement.
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and fingerprinting.
