Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students' physical and developmental needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to support students' participation in classroom activities and routines.
- Evaluate students' progress and update therapy goals as needed.
- Conduct assessments and screenings to determine students' eligibility for physical therapy services.
- Educate teachers and staff on strategies to promote mobility, posture, and physical development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational goals.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (required).
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Michigan.
- Ability to pass a state and federal background check.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
