Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Franklin Park, IL area.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students' fine motor, sensory, and functional needs.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Provide direct therapy services to help students improve skills such as handwriting, self-care, and sensory regulation.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Consult with school staff to create and implement classroom strategies that support student success.
Requirements:
- A Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- A valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Completion of a background check per Illinois school district regulations.
