Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for a full-time role with school districts in the Maywood, IL area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in achieving their academic and developmental goals through occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to enhance students motor, sensory, and functional skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create supportive learning environments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and therapy outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings to provide expertise on student needs.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students' daily activities and academic success.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Illinois OT licensure (required).
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) (required for school settings).
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
